Plan and organize the comprehensive programs for the prevention and control and abatement of water and air pollution.
To organize, encourage, conduct and participate in research activities on environmental issue and disseminate the information.
To implement the acts and rules bounds by the committee.
Disseminate the information in respect of matter the environmental pollutions.
To issue consent and authorization under Acts and Rules made there under.
Organise through mass media, awareness program on prevention, control or abatement of environmental pollutions.
Perform such other function as and when prescribed by the Central Pollution Control Board
